Park Fun

Last Friday the girls and I went to Pullen Park to meet up with Shannon and Wade and finally meet Westin Kate! Between all our sicknesses, we havent been able to see her because we didnt want to spread our germs. It was a beautiful day and the park is so much fun. Wade rode the boats and Katelyn wasnt too sure about it. Then we did the carosel while Shannon stayed with the babies. Then finally we all rode the train. It was so much fun and the kids had a blast and were exhausted by the time we left. Both girls slept all the way home and longer. Thanks again Shannon, Wade, and Westin Kate, hope to see you soon!

6 Month Photo shoot

I am going to do my best to always get our kids pics at 3, 6, 9 months and 1 year pictures done as close to these milestones as I can. We took Haley a week before she turned 6 months to Portrait Innovations in Greenville. I always plan on getting only a few poses, but of course, Haley and the photographer did a great job and I bought more than just a few poses. Here are some of the best ones! Haley was a joy to take and get her pics done after struggling the past few times with katelyn at her age. Enjoy because we sure have!

6 Months

It has been a rough month with sickness, no sleep, and me starting work with Haley refusing a bottle, and to top it off possible reflux! Whew! Haley has made her second and third sick visits to the dr this month. She is still refusing to take a bottle, but has slowly started to eat some vegies, and we are already introducing a sippy cup in hopes to by pass bottle and go straight to the cup. On another note, she is still a very happy baby ( during the day at least) and so cute, you cant help but love her especially when she gives you a big smile!

Stats:

Weight: We have finally reached 14lbs! 14.8lbs to be exact.

Length: 26 inches

Diapers: Size 2

Clothes: 6 months and some 6-9 months.

Shoes: Size 1

Teeth: none, but drooling.

Sleep: What is that?! The most the child has gone in the past few months is a few nights of sleeping 4 hrs straight, otherwise she is either up every hour from 8-1 then every 3. or every 3 hours. Mommy, doesnt get much sleep. Thankfully though when she wakes up, she usually eats quickly then goes back to sleep.

Feedings: She still eats every 2 to 3 hours during the day, then i am trying to push her to at least every 4 hours at night, hopefully soon to at least 6 hours.

Food: She has tried peas, sweet potatoes, and carrots and carrots so far are her favorite!

Play: Loves to jump, can now sit up by herself for a short while or with boppy around her and loves to put things in her mouth! She can roll over and switch things from hand to hand.

Family Fun

Just some pics from the past few weeks of the fun we have been having with getting the double stroller out to rough housing on the floor!

Daddy, Summer and Katelyn playing "rough" then Haley joins for the photo.

I took this pic of the video monitor because it was so sweet. Daddy and Katelyn sleeping good after Katelyn had been sick with double ear infections.

A beautiful day for a walk in the double stroller!

Sweet sisters after their bath! All clean!

First Foods

I started Haley a little earlier on foods by a couple of weeks than I did Katelyn, mainly to try to help her sleep, but this too was to no avail. She has been stubborn at eating foods too, but slowly spooning it in and being consistent with her, Haley is finally eating a tablespoon of a vegetable at lunch and dinner. Her first food was cereal, which she spit back out, then her first vegie was peas and that went down a little better. I have also started giving her teething biscuits or rice cakes and she loves those! We have ventured to sweet potatoes and up next is squash! I have made my own baby food again, so hopefully she will eat it better as time goes on!

Peas yummy!

Ok, second bite is not as good as the first.

Umm, still not sure about this.

Teething biscuits feel good to the gums!
