Snow Day!

I love snow, i dont like ice, but i love the snow! Everything looks so beautiful in white and peaceful. I think we got around 3 inches of snow and then ice, but it made for a nice relaxing Saturday. Summer loves it and that dog ran, ran, and ran some more in the yard. The neighborhood kids were out in it and loving it. We took Katelyn out for a little while, but i dont think she was all that impressed and she didnt like being that bundled up, but we were able to get a couple of pictures.

Friday night when it started snowing.

David and Katelyn's Weekend Entertainment

I was working this past Saturday so Katelyn and David were left to entertain themselves. Well it seems they like to make trips to the Petty Museum in Randleman, NC. It takes them a little over an hour to get there, so Katelyn has her morning nap on the way up. This too means, now that she is eating solids, David had to pack a bottle and food for her, which he remembered. As you can tell from the pictures, he dressed her as well, because she is sporting her Richard Petty Onsie and she wears it so proudly for her daddy with all her smiles!

The ladies up there love her and of course take good care of her, and David too! They even gave Katelyn her bottle and showed her off to all the other people visiting the museum. This time since Katelyn is able to sit up on her own, David had fun putting her in a 43 bumper car that is there and then the ladies let him put her in an indy car. As you can tell from the pictures, i think she enjoyed it and is ready for mommy to work again so she can go back!

"Daddy, I can't reach the pedals!"

Who needs Barbie Jeeps!

Katelyn's first race car!

"Ladies, Start Your Engines!"

"I can already picture her being 16 and driving! Time is flying by too quickly, Mommy, isn't ready for this yet!"

Fun Times with Old Friends and New friends!

I survived nursing school with the help of 3 girls, who became some of my closest friends and we still get together for birthdays and holidays to celebrate with all of us.

Erin added Drew to the group 3 years ago, but then this year we have added 3 little ones to the group. Shannon had Wade, who is 2 months older than Katelyn. I had Katelyn. Then Erin had our newest edition to the group in Dec, Graham. We started a couple of years ago to do an ornament exchange among the 4 of us and this year we postponed our ornament exchange til after Christmas so we could all see Graham.

It is always so much fun to get together with everyone, though we all keep in touch on a weekly basis, but this is when we get all of us together and now with the kids. We all went to Erin's in Greenville this year. Wade and Katelyn had a blast playing on a blanket with all the toys that Erin had. Drew, who is the big brother, was very patient with us all taking pictures and having to be close to all the little ones, we took turns going back to his room to play with his big boy toys, not the baby toys! Graham pretty much slept the whole time, but i got a few good pics of him! Cant wait to see how many more will be added to the group in the next few years! Here are some pics, we were never able to get all 4 in a picture, but i did the best i could get pictures of everybody.

Thanks girls for your friendship, cant wait to see everyone again!

New Toys!

Sorry it has taken me so long to post a new blog. It has been busy and the few times i was going to start to blog, we were having internet issues, so here are some new ones! Enjoy!

Here are some of Katelyn's new toys she got for Christmas. David and I have been slowly bringing toys out one at a time and letting her enjoy each one before bringing out another one. She isnt pulling up yet on her own, but once we stand her up she can push these toys some on her own ( Of course we are holding on to her as she takes steps), but she loves being able to stand up, she feels like she is a big girl. I am sure it wont be long til she will be pulling up on her own and walking, so sad, she will be 8 months soon!

Big Girl Chairs

Here is Katelyn in her big girl chairs that she got for Christmas! She is still in her infant car seat, but it wont be long til she will be fitting into her big girl car seat and she loves her own personalized chair. I think she likes it even more so because it keeps her upright and she can keep all her toys right there with her. They both will grow up with her and she can use them for the years to come!

Visit with the Lewis'

My roommate from college, Jess, and her two boys were in NC visiting her in laws for Christmas, so Katelyn and I went to visit with them for a day. Eli and Katelyn are 8weeks apart in age. Jess and Eli came out during the summer and the kids couldnt do too much then, but this visit Eli is crawling all over the place and they are both sitting up and playing and babbling up a storm. It is so much fun now to watch them interact with each other and play with their toys. Jess' oldest, Caleb just turned 3and he is not a baby anymore. It was a quick, but great visit. Any chance to see them is great. Katelyn and I are hoping to head out to Texas maybe in March to see them. It would be Katelyn's first plane ride! Here are some pics from out visit!
