16 weeks

It is so hard to believe that I am 16 weeks along, almost 17. The time is truly flying by and if you go read the blog before this one, you will see why. This time around I have still been sick ( nausea/vomitting), but not to the extreme that I was with Katelyn, but i think working less early hours and eating and sleeping on a better schedule has helped alot. I keep waiting now for the second trimester surge of energy, but I think with a toddler to chase and a house to sell, that energy gets used up fast!

8 weeks!

Also with a second kid, this poor child I already feel is getting slighted. We took an 8 week picture of me pregnant, then we haven't had a chance until now, before i was doing every 4 weeks. I will try to do better next time. I am starting to show now for sure and most of my shirts are too short and getting tight, so it wont be much longer til I am in maternity clothes. I am still sleeping pretty good, except getting up to the bathroom once or twice a night, but all in all everything is going great. We will head back in April to find out what we are having! Anyone have any guesses????

Lots Going On

Well as you can tell, I have fallen behind again on my blogging, but I have very good reasons. First, I am pregnant, enough said. Second, I have had this aweful cold for over 3 weeks and just made me completely tired all the time especially trying to keep up with a toddler. But the main reason is we have been ( BIG THANKS TO MY DAD, mom and lyn ) decluttering and cleaning our house to put on the market to sell.

A big CONGRATULATIONS to David for getting a new job and promotion. It has been a job he has wanted for a long time and well deserves this job. We are very sad to be leaving all our friends we have made over the past 5 1/2 years that we have been in Charlotte and are extremely sad to leave our wonderful neighbors, but the time has come. We are though very excited about where we are going, we are moving closer to family and friends in EASTERN NC. David's job is a sales territory, therefore we can move wherever we want, which is awesome, the bad part is we have to sell our house first, which can be hard.

Friday, the house went on the market, so huge prayer requests that it sells quickly and for close to the asking price and that the right house becomes available at the right time for us to move into.

So as you can tell preggo, sickness, new job, sell house, look for new house = LOTS GOING ON!

A couple of weeks ago, Ahmpa, Daddy, and Katelyn headed up to the speedway to enjoy Fan Fest. There was plenty of Nascar cars, drivers, animals, and food!

21 Months

I know I say it at every milestone, but where does the time go? It is so hard to believe Katelyn is 21 months, we almost have a 2 year old on our hands! AHH!

She has grown, changed, and learned so much in the last 3 months, I am sure i will miss some things that she is doing or has done.

I tried weighing her on the scales and she is at least 26lbs and height, no idea, but she is wearing 24 months clothes, she really has gotten alot taller since Christmas.

Her hair has grown so much too, I have tried putting pony tails or even pig tails, but she does not like to stay still long enough for me to do it,or she pulls it out, so mostly i am just sticking with bows and clips.

Her vocabulary has tripled or more since Christmas, it was like the light bulb went off with her and she is talking all the time. We are working more on numbers and colors and she is getting there!

She has become a more picky eater, but still eats well, she much rather have "nacks" (snacks) though, especially now with me snacking all the time to not get sick, she thinks she is supposed to eat like mommy does.

She is my little gymnast, she will climb everything, this past weekend David and I watched her climb up the ladder on her play set and she can now climb up the slide all by herself with us close by! So we have to watch her closely.

She loves to play outside and this weather has been great! She loves her play set, sand box, outdoor toys, and water table ( the child loves to play in the water). In April we will be starting swimming lessons, so i am excited about that!

She sleeps 11-12 hrs at night and takes 1 1/2 to 2 hr nap, so she is still a great sleeper!

She finally has gotten the 4 eye teeth in, those caused some problems for a few days, but thankfully they have come in!

She is so much fun and has a wonderful personality on her, but is becoming more independent daily! Here is to the next 3 months!

Best $2 Spent!

Last week there was a consignment sale near my house, so David came home early for me to go venture out and try it. To say the least there was a ton of stuff and people were everywhere. Everybody wants to save some money these days!

I found some clothes for Katelyn and maternity clothes for me, because I have nothing for this hot hot summer, then i went to the toy section. Katelyn really does not need a thing, but I was waiting for some friends that I went with to finish. Katelyn has enjoyed playing with her baby dolls so much and she likes playing with a stroller at one of the little girl's houses from playgroup, so i said what the heck, for $2, I will get her this stroller for her dolls.

When I got home, she was already asleep, so the next morning, before she even asked for " Mouse" ( which is mickey mouse show, which if you around my child long enough, she will ask for mouse at some point), she saw the stroller and asked " What's that?
I told her that was her new stroller for the baby dolls and she got so excited and clapped and screamed, "YEAH!" It was precious and worth all $2! She then went and grabbed her dolls and started pushing them all over the house. A week later, she continues to have a blast with her new stroller!
