Pumpkin Patch 2011

Last weekend Maggie and I decided to take the kids to the pumpkin patch to let them pick out a pumpkin. Deans Farm is in Wilson and they have a hayride, petting zoo, and a park with swings and slides to let the kids play on and of course pumpkins! Everyone had a good time and of course Katelyn and Caleb did because they were able to take home their pumpkins!

The guys and their babies!

State Fair 2011

It has always been tradition for my family to go to the State Fair, well the past two years we have not gone with Katelyn being so young, but i figured this year was the year to bring her into the tradition. Well she loved it! We got there earlier than we have in the past, so we started off with breakfast, which was delicious. Then we headed to see the animals!

Watching the cows go for baths!

Sleepy pigs!

After seeing all the cows, pigs, horses, and rabbits and more, we were hungry for some corn! I think this was Katelyn's favorite, she almost ate the whole cob herself!
Katelyn and Daddy love some corn.

Katelyn studying the map telling us where she wants to go next.

We then headed for what I have always called the two long white buildings where you get peanuts and pickles and all the stickers ( i know what a combination). In here this year was a huge robot, Katelyn is still talking about the big blue robot! She really wants to go back and see him again and watch him dance and duck into a closet when he is done. She is so funny mimicking him. I wish i had taken a picture of him.
Afterwards we head over to the other building for some milk.
Milk is good.

After asking Katelyn all day about rides, she finally decided she was ready to ride!

Her first ride and it was in a helicopter, she loved it!

Next ride was on the monster trucks with daddy. Daddy had to squeeze in!

Mommy and Katelyn going fast down the slide. Not quite sure what she thought of this at first, but once we finally got up and out, she was jumping around and smiling!

Lastly was pick up ducks! Everyone is a winner!

Until next year!

Chick Fil A fun!

Katelyn is now big enough and has figured out how to climb up the stairs at chick fil a play place to then slide down the slide. She is so proud of herself that she can do this. Here are some fun pics of she and Caleb going down the slide together. Then Maggie and i were finally able to get pics of the little girls together too!

Some yummy ice cream after fun sliding!

"Sip and See" for Haley

My mom wanted to introduce Haley to all her friends and to our family, so we had a " Sip and See" party for Haley. This is just a party where you " sip" on drinks and "see" Haley! It was a beutiful day to do it outside and Haley pretty much slept through the whole thing, which actually worked out better, so everyone could see her and hold her if they wanted. Thanks to mom, lisa and sandra for throwing it, it was alot of fun and great to see everyone and let everyone meet Haley!

First Haircut!

Well after almost 2 1/2 years, I finally took Katelyn to get a haircut. To break her in Ahmpa went first and had his haircut, yes this was a salon, not a barbershop. Now don't worry I didn't get much cut off, just trimmed up the ends. I was really worried she would freak out or not sit still, especially since she gives me such a hard time combing her hair at times, but she did great! She sat right up on the booster seat and put the apron on like a big girl. She then started working on her sucker and soon enough the haircut was over and she was so proud of herself. Of course though i forgot my camera, i was so mad with myself, but i took a picture with my phone then took a bunch of pictures once we got home, she looks so cute and grown!

So cute!
