Happy 4th Birthday!

Dear Katelyn,

You are 4 today! This year has been so exciting planning your birthday, because you have been involved in every bit of it! You wanted 3 parties; one at school, at home, and your big one at Ahma and Ahmpa's! The school one will be cupcake theme, home is a Carolina Hurricanes theme, and Ahma and Ahmpa's is a butterfly theme. You have even helped count down the days till your birthday! You have been so cute too when I mention something about your birthday, because you very quietly tell me, " Mommy, is that suppose to be a surprise for me?" haha!

You are a sweetheart of a child, a wonderful big sister, and have a such a wonderful heart. I pray you will continue to be all of these and know how much you are loved and how very special you are just the way you are! Happy 4th Birthday sweet girl!

School Program and Last Day of School 2013

Katelyn had a wonderful year again at preschool. Thanks so much to Mrs. Lovie and Mrs. Barbara for making it such a great year. Katelyn grew and learned so much, and as a noncreative mom, I loved all her crafts she did. So hard to believe, she will be 4 in a few days!

Last week they had a school program, where Katelyn's class sang their ABCs, the weather song, and days of the week. It was really cute and Katelyn stood up there and sang great. I videoed it as well. I was so proud of my big girl!

For David's birthday he received a mountain bike! And for us to ride as a family, he received the toddler seat as well for Haley! Both girls have taken turns riding in the seat and love it, though David said its a little more work with Katelyn than Haley! haha!

Mother's Day 2013

I am so thankful for my mom, my mother in law, and my grandmothers. As a mom now, I respect and love them even more and so grateful for the Godly woman they raised me to be and pray daily my girls will grow to be Godly women as well. Mother's Day is a wonderful day to celebrate mothers and grandmothers, but can also be hard missing grandmothers too. This year was the first without my grandmother Jo and the third without my grandmother Shoo Shoo, and it was also their birthdays this week. I truly know they are in a much better place and a much happier one, so I try to remember all the good times shared with them and also to enjoy each Mother's Day to the fullest for myself, because life is short.

My girls and hubby did a great job celebrating with me this year. We went to church with Gigi and then had a lot of fun celebrating with Gigi, Aunt Cathy, Cuz Terri, and of course Great Ama! Poor David was the only guy with seven girls, but he did great! Hopefully next year mom will be able to join in the fun too and be off for the weekend. Happy Mother's Day to all!

For Caleb's 4th birthday, Maggie had a super hero theme and made all the kids masks and capes, they were so cute! Haley sported hers well, but Katelyn was reluctant until we got home of course, but both were way cute in them! Happy Birthday Caleb!
