32 and 34 weeks

Two weeks ago I was 32 weeks, so we had another ultrasound to see Miss Haley and make sure she had enough fluid. I was rather nervous because several people had been telling me i look really small for how far along I was, which was the same thing that happened with Katelyn, but I really couldn't see how many more fluids I could drink because i am already going to the bathroom all the time! I am carrying Haley so much different than I did Katelyn. She is way low where Katelyn was in my ribs and i couldn't breathe. It is amazing how different each pregnancy is.

We were hoping for some good pictures of her too, but again Haley was smashing her face into the placenta, so no pictures, she has been in this head down face in placenta the whole time! But the good news was my fluid was an 11, it had dropped some, but was not too low at all, so she is still swimming and drinking enough! They also measured her and she has had a good growth spurt now measuring 4lbs 3oz, she is on track to be as big as her sister! Meeting with the Dr afterwards, he still measured my belly and I was again measuring a week small, but with the ultrasound looking good and Haley measuring in 50%, he was fine with it.

Since then i feel like i have gotten alot bigger and my clothes are getting tight, so i know she is getting bigger and she is still so active. Sleep is starting to be hard to come by with getting up to the bathroom so many times and how active she is. She can send some hard blows that take my breathe at times, so she maybe more my soccer player!

We forgot to take pictures at 32 weeks, so here are a few at 34 weeks! 6 weeks to go or less!!!

And Her Name Is......

When David and I found out we were having another girl, of course we were excited, but then everyone starts asking what are you going to name her and we honestly didn't have a for sure name. We started discussing names and its not like we honestly disliked any or honestly loved any right off, then we found out we were moving and so we put it on hold for awhile. After having another ultrasound to make sure my fluid level was ok, the technician checked again for us and for sure we could tell it was a girl, so it was back to the name game.

We tried a couple on Katelyn too, to see what she could pronounce and she does pretty well with the one we decided on, so that was it, this was going to be Katelyn's little sister's name.

SO of course, we cant just tell everybody, we like to make it fun. David came up wiht this idea. So we had the grandparents over for dinner and then for dessert I had make cupcakes and put the letters of her first and second name on each cupcake and scrambled them up. Then we told them they had to figure it out from these letters.

I was amazed at how fast they figured it out! I had also made cards like David did for Katelyn with her name on them.

So its official, HALEY GRACE BROWN, will arrive in September, she will be here very soon!

Here are a few of Katelyn enjoying her cupcake in honor of her sister! As she puts it, " Kate, eat cake!"

Katelyn Embarrassing Mommy!

Well we have been working on trying to potty train, but she has no interest at all for herself, but she is fascinated by everyone else having to go to the potty all the time, even the poor dog!

So this is my story, David, Katelyn and I went out to lunch the other day. I am always having to go to the bathroom with this child riding so low in my pelvis this time around. So they go sit down and I go run to the bathroom. When I come back David and the waitress are smiling at me and I am like,

"oh no, what have I done or what is one me?"

Then David so kindly tells me that the waitress came to ask for our drink order and David was giving them then said i was in the bathroom and would be right back, so Katelyn informs her

" Mommy, gone pee pee in the potty!" and David said she was so proud of herself. So she gets the concept, but just not for Katelyn yet!

Maybe one day soon Katelyn will figure out that she can do that too!

Happy 4th of July 2011

For the 4th this year, we went to the beach! Katelyn is becoming a complete beach bum, she loves it! Loves the sand, building castles and tearing them down, then of course jumping waves too. She of course had fun with all her grandparents being there and showing off.

For the fireworks, Atlantic Beach does their fireworks over the ocean on the beach on the 3rd, so we headed out to the beach with our blankets to watch the fireworks! It was extremely windy and we were surprised they actually did them with all the wind, but they were great and we all greatly enjoyed it!

Then on the 4th it was still really windy, so we decided to head to the aquarium with Gigi and katelyn loved it. She loved all the fish the best and would run from one tank to the next and back again.

That night Morehead City does fireworks over the sound, so we watch from our porch. I didnt take any pics, but she enjoyed being outside with our neighbors watching those fireworks as well! Hope everyone had a great 4th!

First Movie!

Maggie and I decided to be adventurous and take the kids to their first movie. We also met up with one of her friends and her daughter. On Thursday mornings, the cinema shows old kid's movies for a $1 and kids under 3 are free. So we went to see Madagascar. They did great at first with their popcorn and drinks in their laps, but of course there had to be 20 minutes of previews, so after the first 20 minutes of the movie, they started getting a little restless, especially Katelyn. She would get out of her seat, sit in my lap, back to her seat. After an hour and half, she was ready to go, but thankfully the credits came rolling, so we made it through our first movie! I don't think i would pay full price for a movie yet, but for a $1, it was a nice air conditioned place to get out of the house!

Ready for the movie!
