Thanksgiving Dinner at school

Katelyn's preschool had both 4 year old classes participate in their own 1st Thanksgiving with one class being the Pilgrims and the others being the Indians. The kids in Katelyn's class picked their own names and they were very creative. Katelyn chose Pretty Pony!

For mom's birthday, she loves going out to her family's farm land which is mostly farming and hunting land. The kids always have a blast and thank to cousin Mary and Josie for coming to help us celebrate. After some yummy food from Smith's Red and White and of course caramel cake, we headed off to the bird sanctuary. This place is amazing and it was a beautiful day so the birds were all out and very active. Hope mom enjoyed her bday cause we sure did!

Snow in November!

Wanted to document that we had snow falling on 11/12/13! Don't think we have had snow in November since the 1880s! How crazy is that! The girls loved watching it fall but sadly didn't stick. Think this is the making of a cold winter!

Halloween 2013

I hadn't planned on Katelyn going to her school Halloween party this year because she has cried every other year and this year it landed on Thursday, which is bible study, but after practicing with her class, she told me she wanted to go. The school does a cute little parade around the gym for all the parents to see the kids dressed up and then sing a few songs, then go back to their class. Katelyn was adamant about going so Daddy, Ahma, and Ahmpa went to see her and Haley and mommy went to bible study. They all said she did great! Never cried, she participated well, and waved the whole time! They said she was really cute especially has her pink sparkle butterfly! haha! I am very proud of Katelyn for following through and not getting nervous and participating! She really has matured a lot in the past few weeks, not as clingy to mommy ( she is sad, but I am glad at the same time).

After nap times we headed off to go trick or treating at Gigi's work with Emily's boys. The girls love to go to Gigi's work especially when they know there will be candy!

We let Gigi get back to work, then we were off to the Fall festival at Caleb's church! Our neighbors joined us too! The girls were so excited that little Maggie was coming too!

Pumpkin carving

The girls had fun this year decorating pumpkins. I found last year a kit to make a Mr.Potato Head Super Hero pumpkin with push in parts. Let's just say it was a little harder than just pushing them straight in, but David figured it out and Katelyn had fun " pushing" them in after daddy had made all the holes. He turned out pretty good though!

Another night it was time to try pumpkin carving and we tried an Elmo! Haley just kept repeating "Elmo" over and over again, but her attention span was short lived for the time it took to get a pumpkin to look like Elmo, but everyday since I have had to "light up Elmo", as she says. He actually did turn out pretty good and again Katelyn had fun being daddy's little helper!
