Birthdays in August!

We celebrated both Embre Adell's 7th birthday and Ahmpa's ??? birthday! haha! The kids swam for a little while and played. Then dinner and another awesome cake decorated by David's Aunt Cathy! Thanks so much! Embre Adell loves dolphins, so that was the theme! All the cousins had fun helping her blow out the candles and she was a good sport to let them. Happy Birthday to them both!

Joyner Beach Trip 2012

We headed down to Ocean Isle straight from camp for a few days with the Brown/Joyner family. There was around 40 of us in 3 beach houses, but it is a lot of fun and there is a lot of laughing that goes on. The girls were rather shy at first, but by the last day we were there they were finally coming out of their shells. It happens like that every year because this is usually the only time we see most of this side of the family. Katelyn loves her girl cousins Isabel and Jessie and this year they had a bunny with them and she loved going downstairs to see Twizzler. Haley did pretty good sleeping in her pack n play by this point and it was a hard transition for her back to her crib after a week of being in the pack n play. All in all the girls did great and it was so much fun to see everyone and just be at the beach!

CWR 2012

Mom, the girls, and I went back to CWR to be camp nurses for a few days. This was Haley's first time and Katelyn's second time, but she was only 3 months old the first time we came. There is nothing more special or more Holy then when you step foot on this property. I can just feel peace and the Spirit of the Lord there, it is amazing!

The girls had so much fun playing in the water, watching the campers, and of course the good food! Katelyn also enjoyed going in to listen to the bible stories and singing camp songs. She and Connor had a blast on the last time dancing to the music! Connor, Dad, and David came our last night there to play around then have dinner with us. It was a wonderful time again and there are lots of pics to see! Until next year!

Family Times

Just some sweet pics I snapped of Daddy reading to Katelyn. Katelyn loves to read books these days which is great, but she knows now too when you skip a line. She is getting too smart for us! Then some other cute pics of the girls playing together in Katelyn's room! Love my girls!

11 Months

This has been a big month for Haley. First off, she had her third and fourth tooth break through. This made her start to bite and she bit me one time when nursing her. I didnt pop her or yell too loud, but firmly told her " no bite" and took her off and after that she never wanted to nurse again. With that though, after a few fussy nights of still not wanting to get near me to nurse, she started sleeping through the night! She has also finally gotten the hang of drinking out of a sippy cup, so for the past 3 weeks she hasn't nursed ( i have just pumped, but almost done with that) and she has drank from a sippy cup and she loves to eat!
She has also taken her first couple of steps, but mostly still holds on to someone's hand. She has also started crawling, instead of just army crawling. As of yesterday she has started crawling up the stairs. It was a big month for her and so crazy she is 11 months! I am starting to plan her 1st birthday already which is crazy to believe its already here!

Weight: 17 lbs

Height: 28 inches

Clothes: 12, 12 to 18 months.

Shoes: Size 2

Diapers: Size 3

Sleeps: She takes two 1 1/2 hr naps a day and sleeps 0700 to 630, every now and then wakes up once during night, but puts herself back to sleep. Still takes paci when she sleeps and loves her lovies to sleep with.

Nursing: Done with that, but takes a sippy cup of breastmilk until I am done pumping and all the reserves in freezer run out, then we are on to whole milk!

Food: She eats three full meals a day and two little snacks with her milk. Her new things this month were lasagna, guacomole, avocado by itself, spaghetti, waffles,turkey, pancakes, eggs. She loves everything! And she wants everything on your plate. She still loves slurping up the pouches of baby food too. Her least favorites seem to be blueberries and sausage. She loves eating the pouches of food too, she can do it herself.

Activity: She has taken your first steps and getting better at pulling up, but still for the most part you want to hold on to someone's hands. You are officially crawling too not just army crawling and all of a sudden you attempted the stairs and you were successful! Oh boy!

Talking: still the same few words, but she has learned NO now, so here we go!
