Katelyn's Latest Sayings

Katelyn with her sayings these days makes us laugh so much and amazes us at the same time. She understands and communicates it so well these days. She also is more stubborn these days too with not wanting to have her picture taken, so that is why you see so many of Haley without Katelyn, plus the attitude has kicked in, but back to her sayings. Here are some of the latest I want to remember.

4th of July week we were down at the beach and she was in the baby pool swimming and another little girl was there. The little girl pointed to my dad and asked if that was katelyn's daddy? This was Katelyn's response, " No, that is my grandfather, Ahmpa. My daddy is at work out seeing customers and his name is David. And that's my Ahmpa's beach place up there, as she points to exactly which unit was ours." Dad and I were in shock and so was the little girl. I dont think she asked Katelyn anymore questions! haha



Another was we took Katelyn to spin the wheel. The history of " spinning the wheel" starts with Grady, David's dad, creating this at the dealership he worked at to get people to come in, spin the wheel to pick their driver for the upcoming Nascar race, then if that driver won for the week, then they would win the money. So after severals years, they have brought it back, so David wanted to take katelyn to show her what her Grandpa Grady loved to do. Katelyn gets up there and spins it and on her first attempt, the arrow lands on none other than the 43 car! That was amazing in itself because that was Grady's favorite driver, but the best part, was David asked Katelyn, " Who drives the 43?" Katelyn proudly answers, " Richard Petty!" The guys there were like who did she say? They were shocked, though he doesnt drive that car anymore, he does still own it and Katelyn has learned well. It got even better because then I asked her, "whose birthday was it this week?" ( yes sadly i know this too) She proudly responds again, " Richard Petty!" David was one proud daddy and I know Grady had a big smile on his face!

When leaving the wheel, David mentioned something about having to get Ahmpa to come spin the wheel and out of the blue katelyn says, "I love Ahmpa and Ahma." We were like aww, that is nice. Then i asked, " What about Mommy and Daddy?" She very quickly responds, " NO, just Ahma, Ahmpa, and Jarrett ( their dog )." I was like great, then very quickly and matter of fact, she says, " But Haley loves Mommy and Daddy!"
At least one of our kids does! hahaha!

Gotta love this age and trying to remember it all!

First Bank Deposit

Katelyn went today to the bank to empty out her piggy bank into her savings account, which then will go to her college fund! She was so excited, but I think just as excited to get candy too from Gigi!

Crawling/Sitting Up/ Almost Walking

Crawling or army crawling, eiether way she is getting into everything! She can do laps around the house, so Katelyn helps me keep track of her.

This is what my house looks like on a daily basis, but now its not only the 3 year old that destroys it. She made all this mess by herself!

She is now getting to a complete sitting position all by herself. Next up pulling up. Here is happy baby after her nap.

Summer loves to go greet the girls when they wake up just as much as they love to see her!

Sleeping Beauty!

Here is what I saw in the monitor the other day. So laid back and sleeping away too bad this kinda sleep doesnt last longer than 4 hours increments! ugh!

Toy Box Full of Fun!

Here are my creative girls playing in their toy chest and Katelyn decides she wants to make it a tent! Haley loved it or loved being with her big sister more! Here is what she made! Love my girls!

Slip and Slide

For katelyn's birthday, Gigi got her a slip and slide and she wasnt quite sure about it at first. Then our next door neighbor had her granddaughter over and she is 7, and they invited Katelyn over to play. The went swimming and she showed Katelyn how to use a slip and slide. After this, Katelyn loves using hers! We need to put it back out soon because I think Haley now can do it with her army crawling!

10 Months

This past month has been a busy one! First off, Haley, your first TWO teeth came in with one the bottom and just today the second one showed up on the top! You are trying to walk everywhere holding on to someone and finally started to crawl or slide places. You are officially mobile! You have also started to wave hello and bye bye. This month David and I took our first trip away from you for 4 days! You and my parents survived somehow! Haley, you still refuse to really take a sippy cup regularly, also while away from us made you finally start to sleep 8 hrs at a time, but you haven't done it since mommy got home, so we are back to training you to do this.

Weight: 16 lbs

Length: 27 1/2 imches

Clothes: 9-12 months

Shoes: Size 2

Diapers: Size 3

Sleep: Still gets up at least twice a night, but making her go at least 6 hour stretch.

Teeth: One on the bottom! Came in on June 11th. The other on top, July 6th!

Food: Loves to eat and feed herself. Her favorites are green beans, peaches, and black beans and the pouches of food. Still nurses about every 3 hours and takes sippy cup a little at a time.

Activity: Walking while holding someone's hands and slide crawling. Also waving.
