Present from Santa

Since David and I felt so bad on Christmas and it was so cold, we waited until Saturday after Christmas to tell the girls about another present Santa had brought them, but it was out in the garage!

David reading the letter from Santa about their present!

At first I dont think they knew what it was except that they wanted to get in!

Both in, but Katelyn wasnt sure about driving.

But Haley wanted to go! So Uncle Wes helped her get going!

Litle sister driving at first, but she had a hard time reaching the petal with her foot, so she would lean over and use her hand like Uncle Wes did!

But it didnt take Katelyn long to realize she wanted to be the driver and they were off!

All bundled up and ready to go see the neighbors!

Look both ways!

Hey Maggie, you want to hop in the back?! haha! Maggie wasnt too sure about this thing!

Rest of Christmas 2012

David and I sadly sent the girls away around lunch on Christmas because it wasnt far to them or us as bad as we felt. Thankfully too we were able to get some Tamiflu in us and just rest for the next day and half. So sadly we didnt celebrate Christmas with the rest of our families, but no one wanted us anywhere around them, much less we didnt move much for 24 hours! So finally on Thursday we were able to get the girls back and have Christmas with them and exchange presents!

Summer getting in on the fun too!

Summer destroyed her toy! That was quick!

On Friday, both of us were fever free for 24 hours, so we headed to my parents to have Christmas with them!

Santa's Visit 2012

Christmas morning didnt start off as David and I had hoped. We both woke up with high fevers, chills, congestion, and just felt plain aweful! We called all the family and told them to stay away sadly, no one wanted the flu, and thankfully no one else got it! I knew we both had succummed to the flu, but Katelyn wasnt up yet, so we took some Motrin and Dayquil and waited til we heard this sweet little voice over the monitor say, " Mommy, I am awake!" We then got the girls on the steps for their traditional picture before they see what Santa brought.

Christmas Eve 2012

Thankfully Haley hadnt had a fever in 24 hours so we were all able to enjoy our Christmas Eve activities! First up was heading to Gigi's to celebrate Christmas with her, ama, Uncle Wes and Aunt Heather. Haley and Katelyn both really got in to opening presents, such a change from Katelyn over the past few years. It was really fun watching them get so excited!

It was a great morning of fun with the girls, then it was Haley's nap time. That evening we headed back to our house to celebrate with the Browns.

Both girls playing with some of their new toys! Thanks Aunt Amy and Uncle Ray and Uncle Chris

That night we went outside to put our reindeer food out for them to see our house and to eat!

After that it was dance party time in their new castle! Katelyn received a microphone from Aunt Amy and Uncle Ray and a cd player and castle from Uncle Wes and Aunt Heather. Her favorite song this year was Jingle Bells the version by Michael W Smith, its very up tempo and both girls just go crazy when they hear it come on! It was so fun to watch! I tape some of it!
