Family Easter Photos
We waited til Monday to do pictures down at the beach and it was a picture perfect day for them except for the fact the sun was so bright! We all had a hard time not squinting, then with two kids it is even harder to get them both not only to look at the camera at the same time but to smile too! I want to do pics again soon with the same outfits because those were great, but maybe do it later in afternoon when the sun is not as bright. Here are the best we could salvage and some are just funny pics! But again, thanks Gigi because i love the girls outfits and mom for taking the pics. You will rarely see me dress the girls alike, that is not my style, but I loved this pattern because i love the beach and blue seashells!

Easter 2012!
****** Lots of new posts, enjoy!!! *****
Easter was welcomed bright and early with Haley being up most of the night ( she didn't sleep too well at all at the beach even worse than her normal , but we waited until Katelyn was up to see what the Easter bunny brought! Katelyn is so much fun these days and gets so excited about things. She has been telling everyone that Peter Rabbit ( aka Easter Bunny) was coming to see her and bring her candy! That was all she wanted, but thankfully he only brought her a little candy!
We did take some family photos, but not til Monday because it became so windy on Sunday afternoon on the beach. The girls looked so cute in their Easter dress/romper, that will be another post to come!

Haley's first beach trip
Saturday afternoon, Sunday and Monday were beautiful days and slowly started to warm up so we could all get down to enjoy the beach, especially Haley for her first time sticking her toes in the sand! She loved the beach too, not sure what she loved more though, eating the sand or watching David shovel it out to make Katelyn a hole to play in. Haley thought it was hilarious and just kept laughing every time sand went flying in the air! It was really cute!
Katelyn of course loves everything about the beach. She entertains herself so well out there and loves running into the ocean and back out.

Beaufort Easter Egg Hunt
Each year usually my parents condo puts on an Easter Egg Hunt, but sadly this year they didn't, but it turned out great because we went over to Beaufort and attended theirs. Thankfully we got there early because it was so busy and if you didn't get in there fast all the eggs were gone! We got in line at 1030 and it didn't start til 11, but we were back a ways from the entrance, but it was so hard to tell how many kids there were due to all the adults! It was crazy! One we got started, Katelyn thankfully found 3 right off the bat at the gate the other kids passed by because she only found 1 more and supposedly there were 10,000 eggs, but the older kids and adults gobbled them up and she was in the 0-3 age group! She had fun though and that is all that mattered!
Waiting for the hunt to start.

And there off!

Look at all these people!

There was a neat maze to go through, so here is Katelyn and me working our way through. She couldn't see over the bushes, so i had to pick her up for pic!

Haley slept through the whole hunt

Showing Ahma her eggs!

There were a few younger girls that helped put on the whole hunt walking around looking to see if all the eggs had been found, so i just asked if ya ll find one let me know, thinking there wouldn't be anymore, most had been clearly in site, so i didn't see any. A little bit later she came back and said a prize egg was hidden under some flowers and Katelyn could go get it if she wanted. I said thank you so much! So we directed Katelyn over to the area and she found a prize egg all by herself! haha!

They also had drinks and cupcakes for the kids. Like i said they did a great job with it! No wonder it was packed! Daddy and Katelyn eating a cupcake!

Katelyn turned in her prize egg and got a present. When she opened it there was a stuffed bunny and a chocolate bunny!

She was very sweet and shared it with Haley, the stuffed bunny that is!

Finally Haley made it out of the car seat!

Aquarium Fun
We headed down to the beach on Thurs and of course that is when the cold front came through and it was really cold and rainy! So Friday was the day for the aquarium, and everyone else had the same idea, but the girls still had fun!

Easter Activities!
I wanted to do some fun Easter activities with Katelyn to help learn and celebrate the true meaning of Easter. First off, I bought resurrection eggs and daily we would read the meaning of what each egg contained and she had so much fun opening each egg. Sometimes she also liked mixing up what was inside but thankfully they give you the correct list inside the crate to easily put it back together correctly.
Then I found this craft which Katelyn could paint of a cross and we talked about what the cross represented and how Jesus paid the ultimate price for us.
Lastly, we did the traditional Easter Eggs!
Using tape, made a cross.

Katelyn painting all the white space around the cross.

Finished product and I wrote on them, " He IS RISEN!"

Our layout for Easter eggs.

Watching them change colors.

Katelyn was very good at getting them out all by herself!

Finished products, so much fun! All while Haley was sleeping too!
