Haleyism

Just some things I don't wont to forget that she says and does:

-Towel: it sounds like Tarhole and trips me out every time, I love it!

-She still will not call our dog by her name of Summer, just calls her dog!

-What she wants for Christmas 2013? a baby cow!

-If we talk about leaving or going somewhere, she very quickly pipes up saying, " My GO, My Go" and points to herself.

-STUBBORN!!! Oh my, she will stare right at you and do whatever it is you just told her not too, so to time out she goes!

-When she responds to you, she says Uh Huh! and nods her head to the side very fast at you, it is really cute. I am all for teaching her to
say yes maam, or sir, but she is just too cute sometimes!

- If you call her anything besides her name, like Hollywood, or sweetheart, or silly, she corrects you and asks to be called "Hay Hay!"

- and if you ask her what her names is its, "Hay Hay"

Fun on Millers Farm!

The weekend after Christmas we headed up to my great Aunt and Uncle's farm, outside Roanoke,VA. It is beautiful scenery and the kids loved seeing all the cows, especially the baby ones, and the horses. It was still pretty cold there, so we bundled up and headed out on the farm! And since it was muddy, excuse the way my kids are dressed, I didnt want their nicer stuff ruined with mud! The girls also had a blast in their huge basement just running! It was nice too to keep Haley contained! haha! It was a great,but quick two days. I feel bad I never got a picture with my aunt and uncle, but thanks so much for your hospitality! We had a wonderful time!

Christmas Night

This year was rather bittersweet with both my dad's parents passing away this past year and the house already being sold. So we started new traditions meeting at my parents house! It turned out great and all 9 of the cousins played so well together and everyone helped pitch in with food, so all was delicious! My favorite thing though has always been my grandmothers carrot cake and my aunt made it this year and she did an Awesome job! It tasted just like my grandmothers, so again another bittersweet memory. Katelyn and Haley both got cute umbrellas, an awesome table top easel, and some great crafts to do! Thanks again to everyone, it really was a great night and a perfect ending to Christmas 2013!

Christmas Lunch

We headed back to Gigi's to celebrate with David's uncles, his dad's brothers and their families. Christmas was always Grady's favorite holiday, he is still greatly missed. Thanks to Lyn for another great meal and hosting. Thanks to Ray, Amy, and Chris for all our gifts, we all greatly enjoyed!

Christmas Morning

The girls slept great Christmas Eve again, David and I were up way before them! Katelyn woke up around 730, then we went and woke Haley up. First Daddy reads the Christmas story to remember the true meaning of Christmas. Then time for pictures in Christmas jammies on the steps before they are off to see what Santa brought! The girls I think were still overwhelmed this year, both kept going back and forth to each others pile trying to figure it all out. Finally they both realized they had received what they had asked for! A Desk! and Baby cows!!

Soon Ahma and Ahmpa got there to see what Santa brought, then Gigi and Great Ama, then Amy, Tyler, and Ray. Full house of fun!
