April Highlights!

Katelyn is turning into a young lady too fast these days and Haley is just getting more funny and busy as always, but when you get her one on one she is the most fun and sweet child to be with.

Haley can now open doors, so I have to dead bolt everytime. She can climb up the playset and slide down all by herself. She climbed out of her crib the other day much to David's surprise. He had put her down for a nap and shortly after she turns the corner out in the den all smiles! He put her back in and watched her on the monitor do it again. At first i didnt know what we were going to do because I am so not ready for that child to be in a big girl bed, but a lady I work with said to put her mattress on the floor and take out the wiring that held it up higher because the crib rails go all the way to the floor and sure enough it works! So she will be in her crib longer until her next growth spurt! To say the least though, she was not a happy camper this morning when she woke up and couldnt get out!

Katelyn loves jewlery and princesses, but also loves the Hurricanes and watching Nascar with her daddy. She is getting so excited about her upcoming birthday and has her a mile long list of things she wants. She can spell her name and almost has Haley down pat and her handwriting is much improved. She still loves school and all her friends.

Spring Break 2013!

Nothing says Spring Break like 5 kids under the age of 5 and four adults in a condo at the beach!!! What made it even better was it was cold most of the week, but that didnt stop the kids fun! Maggie and her kids joined us on Monday and stayed til Wed. We made it down to the beach a couple of afternoons, the acquarium 3 times, the library twice, and Chick fil a once! Anything to keep the kids busy and they did really well.

Easter!

The girls were up early as usual and came running around the corner to find their Easter baskets! ( yes, they were both in Valentine's pjs, oh well). They enjoyed going through all their baskets, then it was off to church with Gigi! Of course the weather was cold and rainy, so it was the back up plan for their outfits. I think they will wear their Easter outfits for Mother's Day this year, hopefully it will be warmer! We took some pics at Gigi's house then had a wonderful lunch, then it was off to the beach for Spring Break 2013!

Pre Easter Fun!

Thanks again to Maggie and her church for hosting a great Easter egg hunt and party! The kids had so much. They dyed Easter eggs, which Haley loved! Took a few days for her hands to get back to normal, but she loved every minute of decorating her eggs! A great snack and listening to the Easter story, then off for the hunt! It was a wonderful morning by all!

Easter Egg Hunt at School

Katelyn's class had a fun Easter party and egg hunt we were able to watch! They were all so cute lining up and waiting patiently to take off running for eggs! Thanks to Ahma and Ahmpa and especially Gigi and Uncle Wes for coming to watch! Haley watched very o intently so she is ready for her turn!
