Weekend Fun!

This past weekend was jammed pack, but it was alot of fun. First, we started off in Asheboro for Boo at the Zoo with Emily and Will Haley and their little boy, Barnes. Boo at the Zoo is when the kids get to dress up and go see the animals and the bigger kids play games for candy and their is face painting. Barnes got a pumpkin on his face, but the line was longer once we got there, so katelyn didnt get her face painted, but the duck and the cheerleader had a great time seeing the animals still! It was very hard to get both of them to stand still much less look at the camera at the same time, so this is the best I could do.

The Duck and the Cheerleader.

Emily, me, Barnes, and Katelyn!

After all the fun in Asheboro, we headed home. Katelyn slept the whole way, but of course once she got here, she was wide awake. David had been wanting to go to this air show with lots of WWII planes, so I told him, he and Katelyn were more than welcome to go, so they did! They had alot of fun and it even ended with ice cream! Does she have daddy wrapped around her finger or what!

Try to catch me, Daddy!

Still going!

Of course the day couldnt end without a NASCAR car to show her, this time it was Tony Stewart, one, not a Richard Petty!

On Sunday we headed up to Statesville to watch a hot air balloon show, we met up with Jason and Brittany and their boys, but unfortunetly it was too windy for the balloons to fly. We were highly dissappointed because they didnt even blow them up at all, so we never saw a balloon. There was a nice band however and some kiddie rides that the kids enjoyed. But like a said it was a fun, but busy weekend!

Hayride and Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we took Katelyn out to Riverbend Farms. There was a ton of stuff to do out there. We took a hayride out to the pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins, there were goats to feed and lots of animals to see, then of course there was ice cream!

Mommy and Katelyn on the hayride ( though there was no hay, so i guess wagon ride)ha!

Katelyn found her first pumpkin!

I want this one daddy!

Or maybe this one!

Look at all these pumpkins!

Oh, this one is even bigger!!! I want this one too!

Grandpa and Ahma came along too!

Family photo in the pumpkin patch!

Katelyn riding the pumpkin and look at the big cow in the background!

Ice cream time! Thanks Ahma!

This just makes the day even better! Yum!

Katelyn had a blast running all around the fields, seeing the animals, and of course enjoying her ice cream! It is amazing what a year can make. Last year we went and she couldnt even sit up yet, now she can run around and pick up her own pumpkin! Crazy! Looking forward to next year when she can actually say pumpkin!

Happy Fall everyone!

Welcome Kendall!

One of David's closet high school friends, frat brothers, and groomsman, had a little girl this past week. Kendall Ride Rannells was 7lbs 2 oz and 19 inches on 10/10/10, what a great birthday!!!

She is a cutie and weighs lighter than Katelyn ever was! So it was really funny holding her tiny little self. Here are some pics! Congrats to Quin and Sally!

( Now no one get any ideas about Katelyn being a big sister anytime soon, LYN THAT MEANS YOU!) haha, but Katelyn was really sweet and tried to feed Kendall her food that she was eating!

A Sig Ep Wedding

I know i am way behind on blog posts, so i am going to try to catch up over the next few days. The first weekend in October, one of David's fraternity brothers got married. There was a large nunber of his frat brothers that came and many we had not seen since their college days at NCSTATE. It was nice to get dressed up and head to downtown Charlotte for some fun festivities! Congrats to Michael and Katie Chang!!

Daddy, Katelyn and Mommy!

Two of David's fraternity brothers and their wives all ready to head out!

Go Pack!

All the Sig Ep Brothers!

Sonoma

Our last two days were spent in Sonoma and Napa, the wine country! It was beautiful and HOT! Each day was like 103, but felt like the 80s for us because there wasnt any humidity. We took a tour of one of the vineyards and went to several other vineyards to wine taste. It was alot of fun. The hotel we stayed at was gorgeous and had a 5 start restuarant in it and the food was magnificent! Below are some pics from our room, we actually had a real fire place and they gave you wood for a fire! Even though it was hot outside, we had to have a fire since it was offered, it was really neat!

We did not do as well taking pics in Sonoma as we did in San Fran, but i was a beautiful area. I think we simply enjoyed the scenery and the laid backness of the area. The rest of the pics we did take are from the vineyard we toured. Usually they are harvesting by this time, but since they had such a cool summer and now it is getting hot they will wait a few more weeks til they harvest.

We had a wonderful early 5th anniversary! And we look forward to many more to come! Love you David Brown! Thanks all you do for your family!

Day 3 and Day 4

Day 3 we headed out to see the sea lions resting in the bay. They are some noisy, but funny animals. There was a ton of them as you will see from the pic below. Then we traveled San Fran's transit systems of cable car, street car, and then subway to get to Golden Gate Park and see the Pacific Ocean! Everyone in San Fran told us they had had a very cool summer, opposite of ours, until we got there, it got HOT HOT, but thankfully they do not have the humidity that we do, so it still feels a little cooler than here. Since i thought it was going to be cooler i didnt pack the best, but we still had a good time walking all over the park and heading to the beach. We ate at another great restaurant, called Beach Chalet and we were able to watch the PACK win that day on tv! There are also some pics below just showing how steep these hills were, it is pretty amazing.

The start of Day 4 was an early, cool one. We hopped on a cable car to get our rental car, then headed across the Golden Gate Bridge. Of course the day we crossed over it was foggy, but we were able to get some good pics. We then headed to Muir Woods and we did go hiking for almost 3 hours through the Redwoods. It was beautiful and those trees are HUGE!

Can u find David?
