Summer

Summer is our 5 year old dog, which is our first baby and has kinda taken a back seat since Katelyn has been born, but she is a great and loyal companion. Poor Summer though somehow managed to crack her toe nail which was really painful for her,not sure how she did this. When the vet saw it, she was like "this is pretty bad and hopefully we can cut it back and not have to remove the whole nail," which would have been surgery. So they had to heavily sedate her and cut it back as best they could without getting the quick, which is now exposed and it is soo sensitive. So she is now on pain meds and antibiotics and hopefully in a few more days will be back to her old self! It was hard to let the vet take her to the back and her pitiful little face looking at me, saying "mommy, dont make me go?" It was just as hard as watching Katelyn get shots. Glad that it is all over with and soon she will be recovered hopefully in time for Christmas!
